After years of fermentation adventures, love for quality tea, and passion for hand-crafting, Fine Feathers Kombucha was officially born in 2012 in Jodine’s sunny hometown of Long Beach, California.
Like many of our contemporaries, we began brewing our kombucha out of a commercial kitchen we rented. We continued doing so until late 2013, when we reached absolute fermentation capacity. That marked a pivotal moment for our company, when we expanded and began construction on our dedicated craft kombucha facility, which we completed and opened in the summer of 2014.
Our mission is to offer our version of “kombucha”, the raw, fermented tea drink, loaded with probiotics, enzymes (the building blocks of life) and other micronutrients, and share it with our microcosm. We love highlighting the teas we use in our kombucha, whether they are black, green, white, oolong or even herbal (tisanes) and we use our own special method of production to achieve that.
We feel that quality of life begins with and depends largely on optimum health. And since health begins with and depends largely on the microbial balance of our gastrointestinal tracts, we are particularly drawn to kombucha: for its myriad of purported health catalyst properties, and as an important part of diet, nutrition and natural supplementation, which we view as the building blocks for achieving optimum health.
We wholeheartedly stand behind all the health benefit claims that kombucha and fermented foods have to offer, as we have experienced many of them ourselves for years. Our kombucha facility was designed and set up to enable us to take the quality and taste of our “home-made approach” on a commercial level and we are proud of every single hand-crafted bottle.
Our focus remains on staying local and growing sustainably/responsibly. We believe that our approach is the only way for our company to continuously provide the same level of quality in our products, the most direct way to positively impact our community, and to inspire sustainability, innovation, environmental consciousness, and ethical business practices.
We love being here and doing what we do, and we thank you for your support!
